Favorite Fall Sport to Watch: NBA Basketball
As the fall season starts, I wait with great anticipation for the beginning of the 2010-2011 NBA season. Basketball is my favorite fall sport to watch on cable tv in Indiana. Every weekend and even during the weekdays, my friends and I gather at my home to catch all of the exciting action.
Living in New York City, I am a natural supporter of my local team, the New York Knicks. I watch some of the Knicks games live at Madison Square Garden, and I show just as much passion when watching it on TV at home. But a 29-53 record last year was disappointing, to say the least. The team has struggled in the last decade, failing to reach the playoffs. I hope that the new decade will mark the start of a successful era.
In fact, the Knicks have completely changed their roster for the 2010-2011 NBA season. A couple of trades, signings, and rookie drafts make up the new squad. The most notable addition is Amar’e Stoudemire, the powerful center from the Phoneix Suns who I believe will make a major difference this year. Young Russian Timofey Mozgov should also provide great support for Stoudemire. Rookies Landry Fields and Jerome Jordan are also eager to make a statement in their first year of professional basketball.
No coach wants to see his team end up with a losing record season after season. It looks like coach Mike D’Antoni has made some major strategic changes, and hopefully they will pay off.

I think Anthony Randolph was a really good addition too. He could be a real difference maker with his length and athleticism. Ray Felton is prolly going to be do well too, now that he’s with D’Antoni … either way, I am with you on the NBA being the best fall sport to watch. Can’t wait! Let’s get it started already!!! Dayam!
